GIS becomes more useful when maps lead directly to the imagery, findings, dates, and source files behind each location.
Your infrastructure information may live in separate maps, spreadsheets, image folders, reports, and vendor systems. GIS can provide a shared location framework, but the map alone is not the evidence.

Your spatial view should let you move from a site, pole, structure, corridor, turbine, or solar row to the supporting images and inspection records. Structure identifiers, coordinates, dates, and file references make that relationship traceable.
Use the simplest interface that supports your work
You may need a configured web map, a dashboard, an interactive 3D view, or a structured folder package. Match the interface to your review task, access requirements, and information already available.
Protect the handoff
Know where source files are stored, which formats are required, what permissions apply, and which software dependencies could limit future access. Documenting that information helps your project remain usable beyond a single platform.
