What Complete Pole Inspection Capture Looks Like
Complete pole inspection data depends on structure lists, required viewpoints, consistent naming, and a traceable handoff.
Capturing a pole is not the same as producing a complete inspection record. Your program should connect every required pole, component view, image, finding, and source file to the project scope.
Coverage begins with your structure list
Your capture plan should identify each pole or structure, the required perspectives, access limitations, and the acceptance criteria for a complete record. Give the field crew a clear method for recording structures that cannot be captured as planned.
Consistency makes desktop review possible
Repeatable viewpoints and naming rules help you find the pole top, hardware, attachments, span views, and surrounding vegetation without searching disconnected folders. Keep location and structure identifiers attached to the evidence throughout the workflow.
Handoff is part of the inspection
Before acceptance, verify that the expected imagery and metadata are present, files open in your intended software, duplicates and gaps are documented, and source files remain accessible. Keep visible observations separate from engineering conclusions that require qualified review.
